How to organize files

Organization of files is a KEY concept in using any software program. The author of LseMod uses the following system:

The order is Client Files:

Within the Client Files: Client A, B, C, etc.

Within Client A: City 1, City 2, etc.

Within City 1: files for the buildings, named after the building, perhaps building pictures, perhaps the client’s logo, LseSum files (ending those files with “sum” so you will know which files are LseSum files), and email files (ending with “em” and numbered sequentially so you will know which files are just email files and which one is the most recent).

TIP: For LseSum files end those file names with “sum” so you will know which files are LseSum files, you may or may not want to number them. For email files end those file names with “em” and number them sequentially so you will know which files are just email files and which one is the most recent (numbering email files makes it easier for the client to whom you send the file to know which file is the most current). Using this file naming system makes it easier if you need to review files 6 months after doing the initial analysis.
